Curled Melanin story
I started Curled Melanin as a beauty enthusiast with a campaign against skin bleaching back in 2013. Along the way, I began realizing the depth of the issues around beauty gratification.
Eventually, I enrolled in beauty school which furthered my love for natural beauty. Now a beauty therapist and teacher, I want to share my love and knowledge with my fellow people of color. I think that the more we learn about our beauty, the more confident we can feel in our own skin

In today's world where beauty standards seem polarized, having real, open conversations & finding solutions can be a challenge. Curled Melanin is a space to connect, share & learn. Ultimately, we believe that natural beauty of women of color is necessary in decision-making towards the pursuit of beauty and empowerment.
